2026 Chevrolet Blazer Technology and Safety
The gas Blazer and the Blazer EV run two entirely different systems: a 10.2-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay in the gas model, a 17.7-inch Google built-in screen with available Super Cruise in the electric one.
Chevy Safety Assist is standard on every 2026 Blazer sold across Northwest Arkansas. This page walks the screens, the driver-assistance features and where to read the crash ratings, then points you to the deeper Blazer research hub.

Two vehicles wear the Blazer name for 2026, and their technology is where they separate most clearly. The gas Blazer uses a 10.2-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The Blazer EV uses a 17.7-inch touchscreen built around Google built-in and offers no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto at all. That is the one scope fact shoppers get wrong: a feature true for one Blazer is simply not present on the other, so the phone you carry and the way you like to navigate can decide which model fits before anything else does.
George Nunnally Chevrolet stocks both lines for Northwest Arkansas, and the team can show you the two cabins side by side. This page covers infotainment and connectivity, Super Cruise, the standard and available driver-assistance features, a full feature-availability table and, plainly and up front, where the crash-test ratings live. We publish only what the rating bodies themselves show, and we point you to those bodies so you can read the current results before you buy.
2026 Blazer Infotainment and Connectivity
The two lines share nothing here, so it is worth taking them one at a time.
Gas Blazer — 10.2-inch Infotainment 3 Plus
Every gas Blazer — 2LT, 3LT and RS — comes with a 10.2-inch diagonal touchscreen running Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus, with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The instrument panel is an analog cluster on the 2LT and 3LT; the RS adds an 8-inch color Driver Information Center between the gauges. The RS also brings Bose audio, wireless charging and a 120V outlet. There is no Google built-in and no full digital cluster on the gas Blazer, and Super Cruise is not offered on it.
Blazer EV — 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google built-in
Every Blazer EV — LT, RS and SS — comes with a 17.7-inch center touchscreen and a standard 11-inch reconfigurable driver display. The system uses Google built-in, so Google Assistant, Google Maps and apps from Google Play run natively on the screen. The trade-off is that the Blazer EV offers no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto; you sign into Google rather than mirror a phone. The RS adds a head-up display and heated rear outboard seats.

Super Cruise and Hands-Free Highway Driving
Super Cruise is Chevrolet's hands-free driver-assistance system for compatible, mapped highways — the kind of divided-highway miles you rack up on I-49 between Rogers and Fayetteville, or on the run out to XNA. It is a Blazer EV feature only. On the Blazer EV it is standard on the SS (paired with a three-year OnStar plan) and available as an option on the LT and RS. It is not standard across the EV line, and it is not available on the gas Blazer in any trim. If hands-free highway driving is on your list, that decision points you to the electric Blazer.
Standard Driver Assistance Features
Both Blazers share one thing at the safety level: Chevy Safety Assist is standard on every trim of both lines. The bundle pairs Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking and Forward Collision Alert with Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning, a Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. The gas Blazer also includes a rear-vision camera and standard rear park assist. None of this is a trim upgrade — a 2LT or an LT carries the same core driver-assistance suite as the trims above it. That baseline travels with every Blazer on a Northwest Arkansas lot.
Available Driver Assistance and Packages
Beyond the standard suite, the Blazer EV opens up further driver-assistance equipment as you move up the line: HD Surround Vision, Blind Zone Steering Assist, adaptive cruise and Super Cruise are all available. On the gas Blazer, the RS layers in convenience and comfort technology — Bose audio, wireless charging, a heated steering wheel and ambient lighting — on top of the standard safety features shared with the 2LT and 3LT. Because availability moves by trim and, on the EV, by option package, confirm the exact equipment on any specific vehicle before you commit.
Feature Availability by Model
The clearest way to see the split is to line the two systems up. Every figure below is for the 2026 model year.
| Feature | Gas Blazer (2LT / 3LT / RS) | Blazer EV (LT / RS / SS) |
|---|---|---|
| Center touchscreen | 10.2-inch Infotainment 3 Plus | 17.7-inch, standard |
| Driver cluster | Analog (RS adds an 8-inch display) | 11-inch digital display, standard |
| Phone / apps | Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto | Google built-in (no CarPlay/Android Auto) |
| Super Cruise | Not offered | Standard on SS; LT and RS optional |
| Chevy Safety Assist | Standard, all trims | Standard, all trims |
| HD Surround Vision | — | Available |
Crash-Test Ratings and How to Read Them
Crash ratings are set by two independent bodies, and we publish only what those bodies show on record. Read the current results yourself at iihs.org and nhtsa.gov before you buy, because ratings are added and revised over time. The record below is what stands as of this 2026 build; the Blazer EV's federal score is carried on the 2024 all-wheel-drive structure and no separate 2026 rating has been posted.
| Organization | What it tests | On record for the 2026 Blazer |
|---|---|---|
| IIHS | Crashworthiness and front crash prevention (Good / Acceptable / Marginal / Poor) | Gas Blazer: moderate-overlap front Good. Blazer EV: moderate-overlap front Good, side Good, small-overlap front Acceptable — not a Top Safety Pick. Other tests remain open. |
| NHTSA | Federal 5-Star Safety Ratings (frontal, side, rollover) | Gas Blazer: no 2026 overall star rating on record. Blazer EV: 5 stars overall on the 2024 AWD structure (5 frontal, 5 side, 4 rollover); no separate 2026 rating posted. |
Read the two rows plainly: some tests are complete and some are still open, and neither Blazer holds a Top Safety Pick on record. Check both bodies for the latest before you decide.
Which 2026 Blazer Has the Technology You Want?
Match the model to how you use technology:
| If you want... | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Apple CarPlay or Android Auto | Gas Blazer | Wireless phone mirroring is standard; the EV does not offer it |
| A 17.7-inch screen and Google built-in | Blazer EV | 17.7-inch touchscreen and 11-inch driver display, standard |
| Hands-free highway driving | Blazer EV SS (or LT/RS optioned) | Super Cruise is standard on SS, available on LT and RS |
| The standard safety suite either way | Any 2026 Blazer | Chevy Safety Assist is standard across both lines |

Northwest Arkansas shoppers cross-shop these two Blazers precisely because their technology diverges — a Rogers commuter who leans on wireless CarPlay and a Springdale driver who wants a big Google-run screen and hands-free highway miles will end up in different vehicles. Come compare the cabins in person; the gas Blazer opens at $34,300 and the Blazer EV at $44,700, each before destination freight, tax, title, license and dealer fees. Find us at 2700 SE Moberly Ln in Bentonville, off SE Walton Blvd and a short hop from I-49, with XNA a quick run north, or call (479) 319-2494 to line up a drive; you can also contact the team with a technology question before you visit.
