About the 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe
The 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size, three-row SUV spanning six trims from the $60,700 LS to the $80,700 High Country. Three engines are offered, all with a 10-speed automatic: a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, an available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and an available 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six making 495 lb-ft of torque. Maximum available towing is 8,400 pounds with rear-wheel drive and the Max Trailering Package. It seats eight as standard, seven with captain's chairs, and nine on the LS alone. Bentonville and Rogers families buy it because a three-row crossover cannot do all three of those things at once.
For 2026 the RST gains a Dark Essentials appearance package with 24-inch black wheels, and the line adds a Cabin Glance rear-seat camera and a credit-card-sized GM Key Card. The RST Performance Edition remains the only route to 433 horsepower and Brembo heavy-duty front brakes. J.D. Power has named the Tahoe America's most dependable large SUV four years running, and the Duramax posts 26 mpg on the highway in rear-wheel drive with up to 624 miles of range on a tank. It is assembled in Arlington, Texas.
Not sure where to start? Towing a boat to Beaver Lake, begin with the Towing guide. Weighing the diesel against a V8 for a Springdale commute, the Duramax page runs the arithmetic. Fitting three car seats across, the Cargo and Seating page has the IIHS anchor ratings. Comparing prices, go straight to All Six Trims Compared.
