2026 Chevrolet Blazer Specs and Dimensions

The gas Blazer measures 191.9 inches long and returns up to 29 mpg on the highway; the electric Blazer EV runs a longer 121.8-inch wheelbase and up to 312 miles of range. Two different vehicles, one name, every number here.

This is the hard-numbers page for both Blazers, built for Northwest Arkansas shoppers who came for a figure and not a feeling. Start here, then go deeper on the Blazer research hub.

2026 Chevrolet Blazer RS midsize gas SUV shown in profile

This page is the specifications reference for the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer, and it covers two mechanically unrelated vehicles that share a nameplate: the gas Blazer and the electric Blazer EV. They ride on different platforms, use different powertrains, and post different dimensions, so no figure carries from one to the other. Every gas number and every EV number is kept in its own clearly labeled table. For help choosing, see the gas Blazer overview, the Blazer EV overview, and the All Trims Compared page.

Powertrain

Engine and Motor Specifications

The gas Blazer runs a turbocharged four standard, with a V6 available on the RS; the Blazer EV has no engine at all and is driven by one or two electric motors on a single-speed drive. The two tables below never mix.

Gas Blazer engines

A 2.0-liter turbocharged four is standard on the 2LT, 3LT and RS through a nine-speed automatic. The 3.6-liter V6 is the paid step up on the RS, paired with all-wheel drive and the Trailering Equipment Package.

EngineHorsepowerTorqueTransmission
2.0L turbocharged I4 (standard)228 hp258 lb-ft9-speed automatic
3.6L V6 (RS, available)308 hp270 lb-ft9-speed automatic

Front-wheel drive is standard on the 2LT, 3LT and RS, and all-wheel drive is available on all three; the RS V6 pairs with an advanced twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system.

Blazer EV motors

The electric Blazer is battery-electric with a single-speed direct drive. The LT and RS use a single front motor, with a dual-motor eAWD upgrade available; the SS comes with eAWD as standard and adds a Wide Open Watts mode.

ConfigurationHorsepowerTorqueBattery
Single-motor front-drive (LT/RS)220 hp243 lb-ft85 kWh
Dual-motor eAWD (LT/RS)300 hp355 lb-ft85 kWh
SS eAWD (standard)557 hp (615 with Wide Open Watts)648 lb-ft102 kWh

The SS reaches 0–60 mph in about 3.4 seconds. There is no combustion engine, no transmission gearset, and no tow rating on any Blazer EV.

Outside

Exterior Dimensions

The two Blazers are close in length but split on stance: the EV rides a wheelbase nearly nine inches longer, sits lower, and is a touch wider. Both seat five.

Curb weight (RS configuration)3,918–4,144 pounds

Curb weight climbs with drivetrain and engine, from 3,918 pounds for the front-drive four to about 4,144 pounds for an all-wheel-drive build.

Ground clearance7.9 in.
Curb weight5,009 pounds (front-drive LT); 5,236 pounds (eAWD RS)

The battery pack makes the EV substantially heavier than the gas car, and its 86.5-inch width with the mirrors out is worth knowing before a tight bay off SE Walton Blvd or a narrow deck along I-49. The Chevrolet SS curb weight is not published for 2026, so it is left off this table rather than estimated.

Inside

Interior Dimensions and Cargo

Both Blazers are two-row, five-seat SUVs, and both fold the second row flat for a big-box run. The gas car holds more; the EV gives up some space to its battery packaging.

Cargo configurationBlazer (gas)Blazer EV
Behind second row30.5 cu. ft.25.5 cu. ft.
Second row folded (maximum)64.2 cu. ft.59.1 cu. ft.
Seating capacity55

The gas Blazer opens up 64.2 cubic feet with the second row down; the Blazer EV clears 59.1. Either one swallows the gear for a Beaver Lake weekend, the kind of haul Northwest Arkansas families make all summer.

Capability

Capacity and Capability

The gas Blazer is the one to tow with, and the maximum figure belongs to a single build. The Blazer EV is not built to tow; its capability is measured in battery capacity and charging speed instead.

Gas Blazer capacity

CapabilityFigure
Towing, RS 3.6L V6 with the Trailering Equipment Package4,500 lbs
Towing, 2.0L turbo with the Trailering Equipment Package3,250 lbs
Towing, 2.0L turbo without the package1,500 lbs
Fuel tank (front-drive)19 gal (FWD); 21.7 gal (AWD)

The 4,500-pound rating belongs to the V6 alone: the 2.0-liter turbo tows less, and the Trailering Equipment Package is what raises the turbo from 1,500 to 3,250 pounds.

Blazer EV capacity

CapabilityFigure
Usable battery (LT/RS)85 kWh
Usable battery (SS)102 kWh
DC fast-charge peak (85 kWh pack)150 kW
DC fast-charge peak (102 kWh pack)190 kW
Level 2 onboard charger11.5 kW (about 51 miles of range per hour)

On its 85-kWh pack the LT and RS add roughly 80 miles of range in about 10 minutes of DC fast charging; the deeper detail lives on the EV range and charging guide.

Rolling Stock

Wheels, Tires and Brakes

Wheel diameter climbs with the trim on both Blazers, and the EV runs larger rubber across the board.

TrimStandard wheels
Gas 2LT / 3LT18-inch aluminum
Gas RS20-inch (21-inch available)
EV LT19-inch (255/60R19)
EV RS21-inch (275/45R21)
EV SS22-inch (275/40R22)

On the EV, the larger wheels also trade a little range, which is why the front-drive LT on its 19-inch wheels posts the top range figure in the lineup, a useful margin on a longer Siloam Springs commute.

Economy

Fuel Economy, MPGe and Range

The gas Blazer is rated in miles per gallon; the Blazer EV is rated in range and MPGe. The tables stay separate because the two are measured on different scales. EPA estimates are published at fueleconomy.gov and vary with how and where you drive.

On the highway the front-drive turbo Blazer is good for a long stretch of I-49 between fill-ups, while the front-drive Blazer EV covers up to 312 miles before it needs a charge. For most Northwest Arkansas drivers, either range clears the daily loop with margin.

A compact decision grid of the features shoppers ask about first. Because the gas and EV cabins are entirely different systems, each line gets its own grid. The full per-trim breakdown lives on the Trims Compared page.
