The biggest news of Chevrolet’s 2027 model year is the fully redesigned Silverado 1500, revealed on June 16, 2026 and expected to go on sale by the end of 2026. It is a ground-up redesign with two all-new V8 engines, a 16.3-inch touchscreen standard on every trim, wider availability of hands-free Super Cruise, and a simplified seven-trim lineup. The Comeback

The Bolt EV Is Back for 2027

After being retired in 2023, the Chevy Bolt returns as a 2027 model and is already arriving at dealers. Chevrolet brought it back as an affordable, Ultium-based electric hatchback with a starting price around $29,990 including destination, which the company positions at the value end of its EV lineup. It offers an EPA-estimated 262 miles of range.

The big upgrades over the original are faster charging, at a peak 150 kW that takes it from 10 to 80 percent in about 26 minutes, and a built-in Tesla-style NACS charging port, a first for a Chevrolet. It is also offered in a sporty RS trim for the first time. One catch worth knowing: Chevrolet has said the Bolt is a limited-run model, so if it is on your list, it pays to move early. Trucks, SUVs, and the Rest of the 2027 Chevy Lineup

Beyond the Silverado 1500 redesign and the Bolt’s return, most of Chevrolet’s lineup carries into 2027, with updates rolled out model by model as the year progresses. A few things worth knowing right now:

• Silverado HD (2500 and 3500): the heavy-duty trucks continue with their current design for 2027. Chevrolet has not announced a redesign for the HD yet.
• Chevy SUVs: the Trax, Trailblazer, Equinox, Blazer, Traverse, Tahoe, and Suburban continue as Chevrolet’s core crossover and SUV range for 2027.
• Electric lineup: alongside the returning Bolt, the Equinox EV, Blazer EV, and Silverado EV anchor Chevy’s growing EV range.
• Performance: the Corvette continues as Chevrolet’s halo car into the 2027 model year.

Model year and calendar year are not the same thing. Automakers usually start selling a new model year months before that year begins, and they roll models out on their own schedules rather than all at once.
