The Z52 packages are how you change what a 2027 Corvette Grand Sport actually does. There are two of them: the Z52 Sport Performance Package adds performance brakes and high-performance tires, and the Z52 Track Performance Package adds carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, the quad center exhaust and the Carbon Fiber Aero Package. Both are available on every model level, so a 1LT can be ordered as the most focused Grand Sport in the range.

That last point is the one worth sitting with. Nothing on the model-level ladder changes how the car drives, and these two packages change almost everything about it. This page covers what each includes, how the hardware works, where it is offered, and which one suits which owner.

Quick Answer

  • Z52 Sport Performance Package: performance brakes and high-performance tires
  • Z52 Track Performance Package: carbon-ceramic brakes, Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, quad center exhaust and the Carbon Fiber Aero Package
  • Both packages are offered on the 1LT, 2LT and 3LT
  • The Carbon Fiber Aero Package adds a high wing, dive planes, rockers and a front splitter
  • Standard brakes without a package are eBoost-assisted Brembo, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear

Z52 Package Overview

Every 2027 Corvette Grand Sport leaves the factory with real hardware already fitted: Magnetic Selective Ride Control, eBoost-assisted Brembo brakes with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear monobloc calipers, Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires, and 20-inch front with 21-inch rear 10-spoke forged aluminum wheels. The Z52 packages build on that rather than fixing it.

The Sport package is the moderate step, aimed at an owner who wants more braking capability and more grip without giving up everyday usability. The Track package is the committed one, and it changes the car's brakes, tires, exhaust and aerodynamics in a single order line.

How the Z52 Packages Work

Z52 Sport Performance Package

Performance brakes and high-performance tires. The value here is repeatability: a bigger brake package resists fade over a sequence of hard stops, which is what you actually feel on a road that descends and turns at the same time, and a higher-performance tire raises the limit before the car starts working for you. It leaves the standard exhaust and the standard aerodynamics alone, so the car stays quiet and looks stock.

Z52 Track Performance Package

Four changes in one box, and each is substantial on its own.

  • Carbon-ceramic brakes. They resist fade far better than steel discs under sustained heat, and they cut unsprung mass at each corner, which the suspension notices immediately.
  • Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. A track-focused compound. Grip goes up sharply; tread life and cold-weather behavior go the other way, which is the trade this package asks you to make knowingly.
  • Quad center exhaust. The four-outlet center exit, which is also available on its own. It is the loudest change in the box and, for a lot of buyers, the first one they notice.
  • Carbon Fiber Aero Package. A high wing, dive planes, rockers and a front splitter, working with the wide-body chassis, the integrated rear spoiler and the wide side air inlets that every Grand Sport already carries.

Real-World Benefit in Northwest Arkansas

Which package earns its money here depends almost entirely on where the car spends its time.

The roads that make a Grand Sport worth owning in this part of the state are the sequences: AR-12 running out across the water, the two-lanes climbing through the Ozark Plateau toward Hobbs State Park, and the older routes east toward War Eagle Mill. Those are braking-and-turning roads, repeatedly, at moderate speed. That is precisely the case the Z52 Sport package addresses, and it does it without asking you to live with track tires in February.

The Track package makes sense when there are actual track days in the plan, or when the aerodynamics and the exhaust are the point. Cup 2 R tires are built for a hot surface and a hard lap; a Rogers or Springdale owner who drives the car year-round is choosing to keep a second set of wheels, and plenty do. That is a fair trade if you know you are making it, and a surprise if you do not. Owners driving in from Centerton or Lowell on pretreated roads in January tend to land on the Sport package for exactly that reason.

How the Z52 Packages Compare to the Rest of the Corvette Range

The Z52 name is new for 2027 on this car, and the idea is not: Chevrolet has long offered a hardware package that turns a road Corvette into a track-capable one. The 2026 range does the same thing under different names, with the ZTK package on the ZR1 carrying a carbon-fiber rear wing, front dive planes and underbody strakes. The 2026 Corvette models compared page covers how those variants sit against one another, and the 2026 Corvette ZR1 page covers the ZTK hardware in detail.

Within the 2027 range, the Grand Sport X takes a different route to the same end: it comes with carbon-ceramic brakes as standard equipment rather than as part of a package. The Grand Sport versus Grand Sport X comparison sets the two out side by side.

Package-equipped Corvettes are ordered more often than they are stocked, so what is on the ground at any moment is a live question. We are at 2700 SE Moberly Ln in Bentonville, easy from Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville and Bella Vista, and we can tell you what is inbound with each package before you commit to an order.

Owners run these packages hardest on the two-lanes out past Siloam Springs, where the surface changes more than the map suggests. Call (479) 319-2494, book a test drive, or see Grand Sport inventory. If you are weighing the all-wheel-drive car instead, Grand Sport X inventory is here.

Z52 Package Questions Answered

What does the Z52 Sport Performance Package include?

Performance brakes and high-performance tires. It leaves the standard exhaust and standard aerodynamics in place.

What does the Z52 Track Performance Package include?

Carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R performance tires, the quad center exhaust and the Carbon Fiber Aero Package.

Which Grand Sport trims can get the Z52 packages?

Both packages are offered on the 1LT, 2LT and 3LT. A 1LT with the Z52 Track Performance Package is a more focused car than a 3LT without one.

What is in the Carbon Fiber Aero Package?

A high wing, dive planes, rockers and a front splitter. It is included with the Z52 Track Performance Package and is also offered on its own.

Can I get the quad exhaust without the Track package?

Yes. The quad center exhaust is available on its own, and it is also included in the Z52 Track Performance Package.

Are carbon-ceramic brakes worth it on a street car?

They resist heat far better than steel discs, cut unsprung mass at each corner and typically last longer in street use. They come with the Z52 Track Performance Package rather than on their own, so the decision is really about the whole package.

Can I drive Cup 2 R tires year-round in Arkansas?

They are a track compound designed for a warm surface, so most owners here who order the Track package keep the standard Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires on a second set of wheels for winter. Call us and we will lay out what that costs before you order.
