What’s New for the 2027 Silverado 1500

Chevrolet revealed the next-generation Silverado 1500 on June 16, 2026, and it is a full ground-up redesign expected to go on sale by the end of 2026. The short list of what is new:

• Two all-new V8s: a 5.7L and a 6.6L that replace the 5.3L and 6.2L, plus an enhanced 2.7L TurboMax on a 10-speed and the carryover 3.0L Duramax diesel.
• Bigger screens standard: a 16.3-inch touchscreen and 12.2-inch driver display on every trim.
• Wider Super Cruise: GM’s hands-free system, which works while towing, is available on more of the lineup instead of just the flagship.
• A simpler seven-trim lineup and a bolder new look with new LED lighting and standard dual exhaust on Custom and above.
