1,250 combined hp of twin-turbo V8 and hybrid all-wheel drive — the most powerful and most advanced Corvette ever built.

2027 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X, exterior reveal design view

The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is the flagship: the ZR1's twin-turbocharged LT7 V8, plus a front electric drive unit, for 1,250 combined horsepower and hybrid all-wheel drive — the most power and the most advanced technology any Corvette has carried. 0-60 mph comes in 1.89 seconds and the quarter mile in 8.99 seconds at 157 mph with available equipment, starting at $227,500 before destination.

At George Nunnally Chevrolet in Bentonville, the ZR1X sits above every other 2027 Corvette — its hybrid powertrain, the brakes built to stop it, its pricing, and where it sits relative to the ZR1 it is built from, are what put it there.

What the ZR1X Adds Over the ZR1

The ZR1X starts from the exact same 5.5L twin-turbo LT7 as the ZR1 and adds a front electric drive unit, turning a rear-drive car into a hybrid all-wheel-drive one. Combined output climbs to 1,250 hp, and the ZR1X carries Corvette's largest-ever standard brakes to manage it — 16.5-inch front and rear carbon-ceramic rotors with Alcon 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers. Two features exist only on the electrified cars: Stealth Mode, which drives on electric power alone for 4-5 miles up to 45 mph for a quiet neighborhood departure, and Flying Start, which launches from electric-only propulsion straight into the full twin-turbo V8 eAWD hit. This is a self-charging hybrid — there is no plug, no charge port, and no MPGe rating, on the ZR1X or on any electrified Corvette.

2027 ZR1X Powertrain and Drivetrain

The rear axle is the ZR1's own LT7 — a 5.5L twin-turbocharged flat-plane V8. The front axle adds an electric drive unit, and the two work together through Chevrolet's eAWD system for instant torque from a stop and precision handling at speed. Combined system output is 1,250 hp: the LT7 contributes its own 1,064 hp at 7,000 rpm, the same output it makes in the ZR1, with the front electric motor adding the balance. Power reaches all four wheels through the standard 8-speed dual-clutch automatic on the rear axle plus the eAWD front unit — the ZR1X is the only twin-turbo Corvette that is not rear-drive-only.

ZR1X Brakes and Hardware

Stopping 1,250 hp of all-wheel-drive hybrid needs the biggest brakes Corvette has fitted to a production car: 16.5-inch carbon-ceramic rotors front and rear, with Alcon 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers, standard on every ZR1X. Aerodynamics carry over the ZR1's approach — side air inlets with carbon-fiber wishbone bezels, a flow-through hood, and the available ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero Package (high-wing spoiler, underbody strakes, a hood-lip gurney and dive planes) rated at over 1,200 lbs of downforce, which Chevrolet calls the highest of any production Corvette in history. Cargo runs about 9.1 cubic feet across the front and rear trunks, the wide-body figure every 2027 Corvette but the Stingray shares.

Where the ZR1X Sits in the Corvette Lineup

Below the ZR1X, the ZR1 runs this same twin-turbo LT7 without the front electric axle, for a lighter, purely rear-drive car. The Z06 and Stingray both stay naturally aspirated and gas-only. Which Buyer Should Choose the ZR1X?

  • You want the most power and the most technology in the lineup. 1,250 combined hp, hybrid eAWD, and the largest brakes Corvette has ever fitted. See ZR1X inventory.
  • You want all-wheel traction at this power level. Every other high-output 2027 Corvette is rear-drive only.
  • You like the idea of a quiet, electric-only departure. Stealth Mode covers 4-5 miles at up to 45 mph before the V8 wakes up.
  • You want this same engine without the hybrid hardware or the extra weight. The ZR1 is the purely rear-drive version of the identical LT7.
