Choose a 2027 Suburban trim by the equipment you will use, then compare vehicles with matching engines and drivetrains. A trim’s starting MSRP does not include every feature shown in a photograph or every option on a dealer vehicle.

For Springdale and NWA shoppers, the most helpful first split is practical: LS or LT for the core family SUV, RST for its appearance, Z71 for off-road equipment, and Premier or High Country for a more elaborate cabin.

At a Glance

  • There are six 2027 Suburban trims.
  • The 5.3L V8 is standard on LS through Premier.
  • High Country has the 6.2L V8 as standard equipment.
  • The available Duramax diesel starts at LT in the trim lineup.

LS: Start with the Space

LS has 18-inch wheels with all-season tires and includes the 5.3L V8, a 10-speed automatic, 17.7-inch center touchscreen, 11-inch driver display, Adaptive Cruise Control and HD Surround Vision. It is also the trim to investigate if nine-passenger seating matters.

The base price is for 2WD; 4WD is offered. Put the seating requirement first, then compare a specific LS with an LT using the same drivetrain.

LT: Add Everyday Comfort

LT pairs its standard 5.3L V8 with leather-appointed seating, heated front bucket seats, wireless phone charging and a programmable power liftgate. The 3.0L Duramax diesel and Super Cruise are available.

LT is a useful balance for a family that wants cabin conveniences without selecting an appearance or off-road package as its starting point. Compare 2WD and 4WD vehicles on their own equipment lists.

RST: Choose the Sport Appearance

RST adds a black grille treatment, black badging and a Jet Black interior with red accents. Heated and ventilated front seats are equipment highlights, and 24-inch wheels are available rather than standard.

The standard engine is the 5.3L V8; the 6.2L V8 and Duramax diesel are available. RST offers 2WD and 4WD. Drive the wheel-and-tire setup you plan to buy because a display vehicle may be equipped differently.

Z71: Focus on the Hardware

Z71 combines 4WD and an Autotrac two-speed active transfer case with 20-inch all-terrain tires, a skid plate, recovery hooks and a high-approach front fascia. Its standard engine is the 5.3L V8, with the 6.2L V8 and diesel available.

Available air suspension is a separate equipment decision. For a household near Bella Vista with an uneven driveway, compare access, clearance and ride in addition to the Z71 badge.

Premier: Put Passenger Amenities First

Premier includes heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row bucket seats, a power sliding center console and a Bose 10-speaker audio system. AutoSense Power Liftgate and Super Cruise are available features.

The 5.3L V8 is standard, with 6.2L V8 and diesel choices available. The starting price is 2WD; 4WD is offered. Try the second-row seating with the passengers who use it.

High Country: Combine the Larger V8 and Premium Cabin

High Country includes the 6.2L V8, Magnetic Ride Control, real wood décor, Rear Camera Mirror and a 15-inch Head-Up Display. The base configuration listed here is 4WD.

A Duramax diesel, air suspension and 24-inch wheels are available. Treat these as separate choices: the High Country name does not mean every available feature is installed.

Value Verdict: Common Trim Comparisons

ComparisonBase MSRP differenceWhat drives the choice
LS to LT$3,000Leather-appointed seating, heated front seats and power liftgate
LT to RST$5,400Appearance and front-seat ventilation
RST 2WD to Z71 4WD$1,600Different drivetrain and off-road mission; not an equivalent equipment step
Premier 2WD to High Country 4WD$8,100Different base engine and drivetrain plus premium features

Differences are arithmetic between the base configurations above, excluding destination and options. They are not option-package prices. Compare matched vehicles before deciding what an upgrade costs you.

LT versus Premier is mainly a cabin decision; RST versus Z71 is mainly an appearance-versus-hardware decision. Premier versus High Country deserves a closer look at the engine, suspension and display features. None of those comparisons is resolved by the badge alone.
